Meera Dugal is a Brooklyn-based artist. Her work is characterized by vibrant colors, bold brushstrokes, and a mix of abstract and figurative elements. An early love for henna design, figure drawing, and fluffy, juicy colors are a source of inspiration for her art as well as the ecstatic experiences she has with music. The pieces on view at Forsythia are a mix of acrylic, pastel, and ink celebrating the lush and magical energy of the female form. In addition to making art, Meera is the Co-Founder and Creative Director of SWANA music festival Habibi Festival and the Communications Director for South Asian musician collective Brooklyn Raga Massive
